Cargoland B.V. arranges export logistics and customs documentation for the ornamental horticulture sector. To do that work, we process personal data of contact persons at suppliers, customers and carriers. This policy explains what data that is, why we process it, how long we keep it, and what rights you have.

Cargoland B.V. is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
We only process data of business contact persons (suppliers, customers, carriers, customs declarant) and users of our client portal — never consumer data.

To quickly and accurately capture invoice line items (commodity code, quantity, weight, amount) into our customs documents, we use an AI language model (Claude, by Anthropic). Submitted invoices are sent to Anthropic over an encrypted connection for this purpose. Anthropic processes this data solely on our instructions, does not use it to train its own models, and does not retain it longer than needed for the processing itself.
We never sell your data to third parties and do not use it for marketing purposes without your consent.
Anthropic processes data (in part) on servers outside the EU/EEA. This transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards required under the GDPR, such as standard contractual clauses. All other processors named in this policy process data within the EU.
We protect your data with encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), encrypted password storage, and access limited to staff who need the data for their work.
This website does not place tracking or advertising cookies, and does not track visitor behaviour for marketing purposes. Our client portal (docs.cargoland.nl) uses only a technically necessary session cookie to keep you logged in — no cookie consent is required for this under Dutch telecommunications law.
You have the right to access, rectify, erase and restrict your personal data, and the right to object to processing or request data portability. Contact us at [email protected]. We respond within four weeks.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
